Fern

Fern is Chef Patron here at The Fountain.

   

     She was born and raised in China where as a child her favourite pastime was cooking with her mother. Having learnt a variety of cooking skills, Fern immigrated from China to the UK in 2004 as she wanted to expand her knowledge of cooking.

​

    Fern has since worked in a variety of restaurants and pubs around Europe. Her most notable moments in her career include working along side Raymond Blanc in London and for a 'celebrity' chef at a Michelin Star restaurant in France.

​

    When Fern isn't in the Kitchen, she is a passionate and experienced diver!, travelling to destinations such as Bali to experience the beauty of the oceans.

​

   Fern's life experiences around the world reflects on the high standard of food she serves here at the fountain.

Toulah

Toulah is Fern's new business partner at The Fountain and at just 20 years old she is one of the youngest land ladies in the UK!

     

     Although she is young, Toulah has gained a lot of experience that has led her to where she is today. She studied music at the acclaimed BRIT School of performing arts in Selhurst which is the same school where the likes of Adele, Raye and Jessie J studied. She has grown up performing at various pubs and venues since the age of 10 as well as running her own events and open mic nights.

       One of Toulah's favourite gigs was when she supported Tim Vine at his launch gig before his 'Plastic Elvis' tour in 2021. 

      

      When Toulah is not behind the bar, she is performing with her band 'The Colas' or organising her own annual music festival 'Toulah Fest'.

     Toulah says "it's a privilege to have the opportunity to manage front of house at The Fountain and work alongside Fern who is such a fantastic chef and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us here"
